The tour comprises three Tests, three ODIs and four T20 Internationals and is scheduled to start on December 17 at Johannesburg.

B'luru doc with no travel history infected with Omicron, his 5 contacts test Covid-19 positive
A 46-year-old doctor from Bengaluru without travel history has been infected with the Omicron variant of the coronavirus, raising concerns about its presence in the community. The doctor’s five contacts have also tested positive for Covid, and their samples have been sent for genomic sequencing to confirm the variant. The doctor, fully vaccinated, does not have severe symptoms.

Injuries rule Ishant, Jadeja, Rahane out of 2nd Test
India vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane, whose place in the playing eleven seemed doubtful due to lack of form, was on Friday ruled out of the second Test against New Zealand due to a hamstring niggle along with two more injured senior players Ishant Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja.
