Sebi fines NSE Rs 1,100 cr, bans two ex-MDs

The regulator also asked NSE not to introduce any new derivatives contracts for the next six months. Sebi, through five different orders, also banned the three brokers from the market for up to five years and asked them to disgorge illegal gains and interest on the same, aggregating about Rs 51 crore.

Govt OKs 8.65% interest rate on EPF for 2018-19

"The department of financial services (DFS), a wing of the finance ministry, has given its concurrence to Employees Provident Fund Organisation's (EPFO) decision to provide 8.65% rate of interest for 2018-19 to its subscribers," a source privy to the development told PTI. The interest rate hike on EPF to 8.65% for 2018-19 was the first increase in the last three years.
